The Adidas Mat Wizard is arguably Adidas’ most revolutionary design yet. This marks the first shoe to come with their unique ultra-grippy solid molded outsole. It’s designed to keep perfect traction on the mat during high-performance situations while still providing a surprising amount of flexibility. The heel area comes with some added support to keep you firmly planted in your wrestling stance. The upper is built to be very durable, and features a reinforced mesh to keep your feet cool, along with 3 TPU support straps. The best part? They fit like socks, and are extremely comfortable.
They cracked open the first month I got them and by the third month they were completely cut open from the bottom. My foot would fall out.
I like the shoes. They have very good grip and feel very secure around the ankle. Definitely recommend them.
Most comfortable shoes. I appreciate the staff here - very helpful. My son really like these shoes. They're soft and durable.
The Matt Wizards were amazing, perfect grip and very breathable. Hands down the best shoes.
Good shoes ,white ones are very delicate.
The Mat Wizards felt really durable and they are lightweight enough to bring in all the elements of wrestle I'm going to need.
Feels comfy. Nice colors. Protected ankle well.
Durable, fits nice, affordable price. Shoes are built to last and I would definitely recommend this product to anyone that just started wrestling.
Great shoes but they don't feel like they have much grip, but it is probably because I'm used to wearing Aggressors. Other than that, the shoes seem durable and are really flexible.
The shoes are really comfy and they fit really nice. I like them because everybody recommended them for me and I liked how they felt when I put them on.
Comfortable shoes, but they got messed up really fast. The tongue came out and the sole started peeling up. They had good grip, and fit very well, but just didn't last.
Love it!
They are amazing, I would love to see more colors, and more with DT logo
I see this is a closeout shoe. Approximately how many do you have in stock in the royal blue/grey royal/dark blue? I am looking to out fit my team. I want to purchase 30 shoes.
The quantity will vary on the sizes you are interested in. If you would like to send over a list of sizes I can work a quote up for you.

How would I clean dirty marks off my white mat wizards? And if my shoes are a tiny bit too big would that make it harder for me to grip the mat or do I just need to break them in even if they're a tiny bit too big?
It's kind of hard to keep white wrestling shoes clean if you are putting hard work in them. You can possibly use a rag and some warm water to take some of the scuffs off.

Hi. What is the size of this shoe in terms of cm? My son is wearing 23 cm (addisas youth 41/2) of wrestling shoes.
How would these shoes be for heavy squatting? I am looking for something flat soled that won't roll or compress under load and also has good side wall support which won't give. Grip too is needed
Wrestling shoes make great beginner lifting shoes since the soles are flat and don't compress under pressure. If you are lifting competitively, I'd highly suggest sticking with an actual lifting shoe because they have much higher upper-foot support.

The description on the new Pre-Order Mat Wizards says Red/Yellow/Black - but the pic sure looks orange especially compared to your other reds - what is the true color?
I understand your confusion : ) Manufacturer coloring can be very confusing. I would definitely describe the pre-order Mat Wizard as orange.

What size wrestling shoe should I get if I am a 9.5 in the Wizards?
Wrestling shoe sizing can be very tricky depending on which shoe it is. If you are currently using the Mat Wizards, what shoe are you interested in getting?

I have fairly wide feet and love the Aggressors because of grip, support, and width. How do these compare to the Aggressor's width? I've worn some Varner's - how do they compare to the Varner's width?
The ASICS Aggressor and the Adizero Varner should feel about the same in terms of width, but have a totally different grip. Also, the Varner has a mesh upper, giving it more of a sock-like feel that will form to your foot more. If you're looking for something similar to the Aggressor from Adidas, I would consider the Adidas Mat Wizard. It has just as much grip as the Aggressor, but fits a little wider and has more flexibility in the forefoot.

Which wrestling shoe weighs less?
The Adidas Mat Wizard is a medium-weight wrestling shoe. If you're looking for a very light wrestling shoe, I would recommend the Adidas Adizero Varner or Adidas Combat Speed. However, the difference between the heaviest wrestling shoes only amount to a few ounces a shoe : )

Is there any difference between the Standard Mat Wizards and the M2 besides the logo on the heel?
That is a very good question! The Adidas Mat Wizard M2 functionally is the exact same as the regular Mat Wizard. You just get to rock Dave Taylor's awesome logo as well as have an awesome shoe : )

Is the sizing in men's or women's sizes?
Adidas wrestling shoes are sized in men's sizes but designed to be unisex. Generally, we recommend you size a full size to a size and a half down from your women's shoe size when buying the Adidas Mat Wizards. If the shoe you order doesn't fit, just send it back and we will send you out a new size, free of charge : )

WHICH WRESTLING SHOE PROVIDES THE BEST "GRIP" ON THE MAT? THANKS
The two "grippiest" shoes we sell are the Adidas Mat Wizard and the ASICS Aggressor 2. The ASICS Aggressor 2 barely has more grip than the Adidas Mat Wizard. With that being said, the grip preference depends on the individual wrestler. Our customers have been trying Mat Wizards on in our store everyday and falling in love with how comfortable and grippy the shoes are.
Answered by Dave Applegate on 11 Dec, 2015
Does anyone know how flexible these actually are?
The Adidas Mat Wizards are a great shoe and have a similar degree of flexibility to the ASICS Aggressor 2 or other single sole high-grip shoes. If you are looking for a highly flexible shoe, I would recommend looking for a split or hybrid sole shoe like the Adidas Adizero Varner or the Combat Speed. With that being said, we have had 100s of people try on the Mat Wizard in our showroom and nobody has complained that the shoe is too stiff or rigid. It is one of our staff favorites at the moment : )
